Happy New Years!
Happy New Years Everyone!
As we begin 2010, we take time to reflect, revalue, restructure, and prepare our lives for the journey ahead.
Reflection:
2009 was a great year for us, many former students returned to continue their training and we saw many new students.
We are so greatful when former students return to us, we're thankful that your goals with martial arts continue to include RCSOMA.
We're encouraged by the new faces because we see ourselves in you and how far we have come. New students allow us to be able to completely understand a drill by teaching you the nuances of the arts.
Revalue:
Please take the time to revisit your martial arts goals, share with us how you would like to become a better student. There are so many opportunities for all of us to grow as martial artists, we look forward to guiding you towards your goals.
We would like to add more content to our website by adding drill breakdowns, terminology, etc. Please let Sara know if you are interested in helping with this project.
Restructure:
We are excited to be offering a new art to RCSOMA, Maphilindo which is a mix of Malaya, Philippine, and Indonesian arts using open hand and weapon techniques.
In addition to the new art, we will also offer five seminars this year.
Saturday, January 16th - Maphilindo
April - Healing Arts
August - Kali
December - Wing Chun/Grappling
The fifth seminar is the outdoor survivor seminar with Jim Robertson, this time we will be focusing on weapons.
Year of the Tiger
Shortly after the New Year, we enter the Year of the Tiger (beginning February 14, 2010) Drama, intensity, change and travel will be the keywords for 2010. Everything happens quickly and dramatically in a Tiger year blink and you could miss an important chance of a lifetime!
As we look at our business and personal goals for 2010, we definately feel the Year of the Tiger approaching we are excited about all the amazing opportunities that we will encounter along the way.
