Conditioning is an integral part of Thai Boxing training. Learning the Muay Thai counts will help focus the practitioner to flow from technique to technique while developing good body mechanics to maximize power.
Called the science of the eight limbs (hands, elbows, feet and knees), Muay Thai or Thai Kickboxing is the most combative style of kickboxing in the world. Thai Boxing integrates the use of the hands, elbows, feet, and knees in one powerful yet fluid fighting style. Practiced originally as military training and now as a brutal sport, Muay Thai is the national sport of Thailand.
Muay Thai is a superb form of physical exercise. In fact, Thai boxers are some of the world's best conditioned athletes. For this reason, the Dallas Cowboys have incorporated Muay Thai training methods into their regular training programs.
The Thai Boxing Association curriculum is a compilation of the best training methods from five different Thai Boxing camps. The fighting combinations are ring proven and are a result of years of studying films of Muay Thai fights.
The founder and president of the Thai Boxing Association of the U.S.A, Master Surachai Sirisute, is a former Muay Thai champion of Thailand. The Thai Boxing Association has produced many champion fighters in the U.S.A. and around the world.
